Success takes support

I know that we’re only two days into the New Year, but so far I’m pleased with my behavior. I’ve managed to stay within my calories for the day and I’ve completed my planned workout.

I also completed my first strength training session of the year. The gym was packed as one might expect on the second day of the year. The weight room was particularly busy but I did not let those guys intimidate me. Seriously, I’m not intimidated by the people – I’ve always been intimidated by the process of strength training. I’ve always known that I needed to add it to my workout routine. However, I’ve never really felt that I knew what I was doing in the weight room. I’ve had trainers in the past so my form is pretty good, my problem has always been what should I do and in what order. So I took to the internet to help me design a plan that would work for me and I came across a 3 day Whole Body Toning Workout that seems doable. I’ll be strength training on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. The other days I’ll be preparing for the big run in May.

Today my workout was great and not just because I completed what I had set out to do – it was great because mylover worked out with me. We always go to the gym together but when we get there we parts ways. It was really nice to work with him today. He’s very supportive of my goal.

Who is supporting you to success?  I hope you have a cheerleader as good as mylover.

Day 17 ~ Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

If I could switch places with anyone for one day I’d swap lives with Beyonce. Let’s be real, she’s hot! Every man wants her and I know I’m not the only woman who would not mind being her. Besides that she clearly workouts and I clearly don’t workout enough, I would not mind swapping lives with Bey because she seems pretty down to earth and she takes fabulous trips all around the world.

Rumor has it that Beyonce may be giving birth at any minute, so I’ll put my bid in to change places after she delivers. I hear child-birth is painful!
